Pool Cleaning

Swimming pool cleaning is NOT an optional activity performed for aesthetics but a required, necessary activity needed for disease prevention.

Swimming pool sanitation will begin with the pool filtration system that is installed. The water pool pumps will cause the recirculation of the pool water, the filters will clean the pool from pathogens and viruses and chemical disinfectants such as chlorine will kill all the microorganisms that are present in the water and would otherwise potentially cause diseases to the swimmers if allowed to grow.

If pool cleaning is not performed and the pool filters are not adequate, the algae in the pool water will grow and the pool will start developing this greenish color until it gets all green and murky and becomes an attractive nest for the annoying mosquitoes.

Now that we are aware of the importance of pool cleaning, how do we go about it the right way?
In order to keep your pool nice and clean you must do a numbers of tasks. At least once a week, brush the walls of your pool especially all the corners and stairs where debris and bacteria usually gets stuck. There are different swimming pool cleaning equipment that can be bought off the internet or at the swimming pool stores. Brushes for pool tile cleaning come in various shapes and sizes, many of them come have adjustable handles, that can be long enough for the pool cleaning to take place while the pool cleaner can remain out of the water. Swimming Pool Cleaning can be done by yourself or by a hired professional at pool cleaning services.

Make sure the pool filtration system is working properly and the required Ph is achieved. You must keep your PH balanced and there are specific ways to check. You should also test the Calcium hardness and keep the total alkalinity in balance.

Make sure your pool has enough pool chemicals such as chlorine for decontamination. Adding chlorine a couple of times per week is probably enough, but if the pool is frequently and heavily used then you should add chlorine more often. Adding chlorine around sunset is more effective. Once in a while adding a lot of chlorine is advisable as it will act like a super cleaning agent. It is also advisable to keep algae out by adding to the water an Algae Inhibitor liquid.

Overall cleanliness helps in cleaning a swimming pool and keeping it clean. For example, always keep the deck clean, take out any debris from the water, take a quick shower before you jump in and do not pee in the water!
